R 4,700.00 R 3,760.00
Life's abundance, captured in a collage. This design was inspired by the work of Mark Catesby (1683 – 1749) He was an English naturalist. Between 1729 and 1747 Catesby published his Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands, the first published account of the flora and fauna of North America. It included 220 plates of birds, reptiles, fish, insects as well as plants.
Details: Fabric: 100% Linen. Size: 4 meters x 1.5 meter, but slight size variations may occur. Machine stitched hem on short sides only. Self edge showing.
Can be used as a tablecloth, a throw or wall hanging.
Linen is a natural fibre and one can expect to see some slubs or irregularities in the fabric. The natural and textured beauty of the fabric comes through timelessly even when printed. Colours on fabric may be more faded than on the picture shown.
All our textiles are designed and produced in Cape Town, in small editions. It is important to remember that with handmade products, one should handle it with the delicate care that one would with any piece of art. Repeated washing or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause colours to fade. Please follow the care instructions thoughtfully. We would strongly suggest dry cleaning. Do not machine wash, soak, spot clean, tumble dry or bleach your printed linen product. Iron on medium as necessary.
