The Adderley street flower market experience.
This range was inspired by a typical Saturday morning in Adderley street, Cape Town, where the flower market ladies' hollering overpower the buzz and sounds of the Grootte Kerk church bells and the euphoric Cape minstral band playing. This street, a symbol of Cape hybridity, is the landmark of the city's complex, yet diverse and unique culture. The beauty is in the chaos and this exact notion is captured by the photographs taken by Isobel and her daughter Gabrielle after a visit to the central CBD of Cape Town, where the abundance seen in the flower market's wealth of textures and colours seeped into their work.
